Tested My Program And It Worked!
I would never recommend that one of my patients try something that I had not already personally tested. So I began a 3-month program incorporating the principles I had discovered. Before I tell you my results, you need to know where I started. I weighed 200 pounds, I had 20% body fat, my resting heart rate was 72, and my blood pressure was 118/76. Not great, but not entirely horrible either. As I began the program, the first thing I noticed (the very first week) was a spike in my energy and a loss of the bloated feeling. The second thing I noticed was that I no longer had episodes where I felt famished causing me to crave food and binge. But, perhaps the biggest thing I immediately noticed, was the fact that I no longer had those periods throughout my day when I felt really tired and worn out. Those feelings of fatigue had been replaced by a level of mental alertness I had not experienced in quite a while. By the time I had reached the 6 week mark, my clothes were fitting differently, people were noticing a difference in my attitude and the way I looked, and I was feeling the best I had felt in years. What I Discovered Next At the end of 3 months I retested myself and the results nearly caused my jaw to hit the floor. After just 12 weeks of making these small, but powerful lifestyle changes, I had stripped away 5% of my body fat (that’s 10 pounds of solid fat) and replaced it with lean, toned muscle, my weight had dropped to 192 lbs, my pant size had decreased from a 36” waist to a 34” waist, my resting hear rate was an astonishing 56 beats/minute, and my blood pressure was at 110/70. Now, I know what you’re thinking…is that all the weight you lost - 8 pounds? Keep in mind this very important concept: A loss in body fat may not always show up as a dip in the scales. Why? Because if you lose 1 pound of fat, and gain 1 pound of muscle, you still weigh the same, but you are smaller and definitely leaner. Research reported on ABC-TV NEWS showed that adding just 5 pounds of muscle and maintaining it for one year automatically burns 91,250 calories! This could translate to losing as many as 26 pounds! So, with these kind of results recorded for myself, I knew I was on to something. So I asked a significant number of my patients to volunteer to go through a similar 12-week study. At the end of 90 days, I retested all of the participants and the results were just as astonishing as mine – massive losses in body fat, increased energy, clothes fitting differently, lower resting heart rates, lower blood pressures were all recorded across the board. But, perhaps the biggest improvements recorded were the 16 people who were able to come off their blood pressure medication and the 9 people who no longer had to manage their diabetes with medication.
