Kid Weight Loss Plan


Since 1963, the prevalence of overweight children and adolescents ages 6 – 18 has risen over 300%. And, while this increase may be alarming, of greater concern is the fact that between 1988 and 2002, this trend has increased over 45%. Clearly our children are in need of better programs that will slow this trend down and, in time, reverse it. Parents must lead this charge by identifying a kid weight loss plan that is simple to implement, easy to maintain, and actually works.

In a day and age of fast food and an abundance of sweets, a kid weight loss meal plan is probably the best place to start. Proactive choices in the foods our kids eat will help in reducing some of that extra weight some of them are carrying around. A parent who is actively involved in directing their kids’ weight loss meal plan will actually be helping their child avoid the health and social problems associated with adult obesity.
